The food Jean has ordered for the barbeque was approximated to reach West Coast Park at 1600, thus we had decided to reach earlier than the others. However, I was late by a few odd minutes as usual. Not knowing that they were waiting for some others to arrive, I rushed out of home without bringing my watch. :(

After waiting for some time, we decided to make our way to West Coast Park first. Abigail and Yoke Ting were nowhere in sight, yet the delivery man was constantly rushing for our presence. In the end, he got so impatient that he left the food at the barbeque pit and left.

Upon reaching West Coast Park, Jean and I rushed over to the pit while Ai Xia and Vivian got themselves something at McDonald's. During our whole journey, a dog kept looking at me. While walking with its owner, it turned back on several occasions to face us. I was so afraid it would pounce onto me and had me eaten alive that I hid behind Jean.

Checking that all the food was available, Jean and I decided to start the fire with the help of Ai Xia and Vivian. For two whole hours, we tried to start a simple fire but to no avail. It was at that point in time that I wished Aik Peng and the rest were there to help.

Soon, Abigail and Yoke Ting arrived. Thereafter, Jasmine and Meiyi made their way over too. As Vivian had a curfew, Ai Xia and I escorted her to hail a cab home before joining the others for the barbeque.

Back to the barbeque pit, we realised that the fire still would not ignite by itself. It extinguishes frequently, making it essential for constant fanning. That explains why my arms hurts so terribly now. :( All the others must have body aches too!

It did not take long before we found out that all the other barbeque pits were not doing good either. None had a fire that would burn obediently. Some even had no fire to start with, having barbequed only four chicken wings throughout the entire night. It was funny how they migrated to our barbeque pit just to cook their food as we were clearing up.

At around 2300, Ai Xia and I decided to make our way home. Ai Xia was so desperate to get a taxi home as soon as possible. While I was standing on the pavement looking out for oncoming vehicles, she was already half way through crossing the road! Fortunately, the both of us managed to get one within two minutes! :D

这世界太热闹

In the early evening, I went to Jurong Point with Mother. Jean and I had to run some errands. Actually, I made Sister tugged along because I was afraid I would end up being at the Customer Service due to the new bus interchange. The entire place looked like it was never in Jurong Point before!

After Jean and I finished what we had to, the three of us went to look for Vivian. She was just done with eating her lunch. Soon, all four of us headed back to my house. Jean and Vivian had wanted to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Done with Alvin and the Chipmunks, Devil Beside You was next. We only managed to finish two episodes though, because my family and I had to go out for dinner with relatives. Anyhow, watching Devil Beside You all over again wasn't on deliberate. Jean hasn't watched it yet, thus I was eager to clear her doubts about my obsession with Mike He!

At 1815, Father, Mother, Sister and I went for dinner with Grandmother and Aunts. To our horror, Grandmother's Sisters were there too. The entire night was pretty much like living in hell. With Mother provoking Sister, I had one less person, in fact no one to talk to. That did not help making my stay in hell any better. :(

I am glad the night has ended, big time!

Freakazoid

I had been reading Schooled written by Gordon Korman for a few days already. Just a few minutes ago, I came across a paragraph which I thought was funny. To understand, reading the entire book is essential.

In the great encyclopedia of history, if you look up mass stupidity, this was the picture you'd see: eleven hundred kids dressed in hippies, crammed belly to belly in a parking lot, having a candlelight memorial for someone who was probably just fine.
Capricorn Anderson was such a dear in the book!

Generally, I think that this book is quite a good read. Cracking up jokes in the most not obvious manner is always the funniest! Never will I mind reading the whole book all over again. After reaching Jurong Point, we were rather disappointed by the length of the queue. It was extremely long! Even the tickets were selling fast. :(

While in the midst of queuing, Vivian joined us. As she appeared out of nowhere, I was frightened by her sudden existence behind me. Anyway, the three of us had planned to catch the movie together so it wasn't coincidental. Vivian just happened to be late.

After buying the tickets, we had about 160 minutes of loitering around the mall. Sister and Vivian went for lunch while I accompanied them. Then Joey came over to meet us for shopping. Thanks to Joey and Vivian, I bought two new watches! :D Sister bought two too.

Overall, the movie was fabulous! I love how the movie started with Alvin exclaiming, "We're back!"

Most importantly, Theodore was nothing but cute and adorable! He was so concerned about the size of his butt, which was majorly hilarious!

In the evening, Father, Mother, Sister and I went to some hotel in Orchard for dinner with relatives. Compared to last year, the food last night was so much better.

Anyway, there were hundreds of balloons floating around the ceiling of the hotel. As Sister wanted to try talking on helium, she ended up emptying the whole balloon which made her voice changed only for one second. It was really funny! Looking at the deflated balloon, I decided to blow it up. Purely filled with carbon dioxide, the balloon simply won't float. Then Sister and I came up with a perfect plan. :)

We collected balloons from the ceiling and tied them onto the balloon that I had blown. As I was afraid a couple of helium balloons would not be enough to carry the weight, I tied about thirty of them to make sure. It was such a scene when I brought it out of the hotel!

Upon arriving at an open area, I released the balloons. I am glad they were able to float up and not get stuck in the middle of the sky because it was a really beautiful sight. :) Probably a good way to end off the night.

Stay Still

Maybe it would have been a wiser choice to not chat on the phone for that long last night. Ai Xia called me at around 2300 to see if a barbeque was necessary. Vivian and Jean had wanted one for the Girls' Brigade gathering. However, as they were on the other line, Ai Xia and I called in.

Besides planning for the gathering, we talked about other things. I guess it is due to the fact that we had not seen each other for forever! While Jean hung up halfway through the conversation, the three of us continued to talk all the way until 0200.

In the morning, I was supposed to wake up at 0700. Yet due to the phone call last night, I thought it would have been better to stay in bed until 1200. Somehow or rather, I still managed to get up for work.

At around 0930, I went out with Father and Brother to install some gate sensor. The gate was being difficult. It would not work no matter what. I wonder why people living in terraces needed gates that swing open and close automatically. Would it kill to slot a key into the pad, turn, and be free to step out of the house?

Eventually, the gate became obedient and started to work only in the afternoon. Father was very much awesome I suppose. Otherwise, the three of us could have been stuck there all the way until evening.

Now I feel so exhausted and lethargic. :( I wish I could go home and sleep for twenty hours straight!

Tea

Due to the gastric pain the day before, Mother had made me drink tea. That was then, again, that I started to see really weird people. Why, Singapore is filled with extremely ridiculous people! Understanding the situation, she replied an okay and hung the phone immediately. At that point in time, I was wondering how Mother is going to get back to her. No leaving of phone numbers nor names, and I could not even hear her properly right from the start when she mentioned about her company.

Helping Father and Mother out in their office has both advantages and disadvantages. You might want to run for president of a school club, or participate in an inter-school competition! Take advantage of these chances as they don't come by everyday.

Family
In the later part of the year, a series of events will occur between a family member and you, causing uncomfortable tension. Be sure to apologise your wrongdoings so as to avoid hurting your loved ones.

Friends
Charming Arians attract new friends the way honey attracts bees. Be careful however, as it takes much more than sheer charm to keep long-lasting relationships alive.

Love Compatibility
You can't help but feel attracted to the fun-loving Leo who offers joy and warmth. Get close to these lion-hearted gems, and they will shower you with love!

Danger
Even though you started out the year in good health, don't take this for granted. A bout of illness in July will set you back by a couple of weeks. Be sure to exercise regularly. Therefore, it's good that you've resolved to make room for a new relationship, as someone unexpected might be moving in! Maybe after I have taken the result slip, I would race towards a nine hundred storey high building to end my life.

I am beyond myself with disappointment. Over the past few years, my ability to accept setbacks are weakening. Dying for the sake of poor results? It might just be the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

Last night, Ai Xia called for a chat. Other than arranging for a meet up some day, she was also helping to analyse whether a Junior College or Polytechnic would be more suitable for me. Hence, I am contemplating on which to choose now. There are definitely advantages and disadvantages for both the choices.

Frankly speaking, I hate making decisions. However, that is life, isn't it? It is always filled with choices and decisions to make, whether I like it or not.

From choosing between two dresses to spending the entire life with the right person, all of them revolves around making the right choices. If fortunate enough, people make the right choices and enjoy it. Otherwise, they can only live with it. Too bad life just happens to suck like that. :(

我站在回忆的入口

I would like to congratulate all of my friends who have made it up to Secondary Five. Just yesterday, or so it seems, I set foot into Shuqun Secondary School as a shy thirteen-year-old girl initially. Today, I have officially graduated from the school.

Thinking back, everyone has grown and matured so much in one way or another. Be it the way we think or just simply our attitude. I am sure teachers who have witnessed us grow would agree.

In fact, I feel that I have matured over the four years of secondary school life too. Although I may still be childish and temperamental, undeniably even self-centered at times, my attitude has definitely improved over the years.

For example, I used to think that only my thoughts and feelings were important. Whatever else did not actually matter. Hence I would talk without thinking, even sprouting nonsense proudly. Now, however, things are different. Whenever I make comments, I would make sure no harm was created, or if inevitable, the minimum possible. As a matter of fact, I still think twice as the words were about to slip off my mouth.

Anyone who have interacted with me before will know. I was rude, straightforward and terribly ignorant of how my comments would hurt. Maybe I still posses a little of everything in the mean time, yet I am sure improvements have been obvious so far.

Technically speaking, if it was not for the teachers, these changes would not even have taken place. Who would have find fault in our own actions unless otherwise mentioned? Even so, we may not be happy or fully accepting about it. Therefore, I reckon the teachers deserve the gratitude for all their hard work in disciplining us. Thank you very much! :)

Despite the graduation ceremony being a simple one, it was meaningful so to speak. The Valedictorian's speech was good and the video was well done too. All in all, the event was great. :)

I am looking forward to the class outing next Wednesday! ♥
